October Plant Tour

Alstom Power's Willis Road Facility

Join us Thursday, October 13, at 6:00pm as we Tour Alstom Power's Willis Road Facility.

Power Service

The 1200 Willis Road facility was heavily involved in Gas Turbine Assembly until the year 2002 when the rising cost of natural gas significantly affected the demand for gas turbines.

For the entirety of its existence, and currently, 1200 Willis Road has been involved in Steam & Gas Turbine repairs as well as Generator repairs.  These repairs could be for Alstom turbines as well as for GE, Westinghouse/Siemens or Mitsubishi turbines.

Within the last five years, 1200 Willis Road has tooled up to make turbine blades.  The original plan was to make blades for competitor units, but this plan has been expanded to include Alstom units as well.
