Education Schedule
Our chapter's 2010 educational offerings fall in three primary categories:
- Regular monthly Professional Development Meetings (PDM)
- Certification Workshops
- Special educational opportunities offered by the chapter or other
affiliated organizations
Workshops are arranged by the Chapter, based upon surveys and feedback
from the local membership. They are intended to help in honing
industry-related skills, aid in self-development, and enhance career
opportunities. By participating in Workshops, individuals are also
preparing for APICS certifications such as Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and
Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP). This material is best suited to people with either academic
or on-the-job experience. They are not introductory workshops and
are intended for people with some background in Production and Inventory
Control.
Refer to the Educational Program section below
for details about class offerings, registration, and costs.

Opportunities
In order to respond promptly to the needs of our members, we are
looking for individuals with classroom training experience. If you
have already obtained your CPIM and/or CSCP credentials, and have had
training and/or experience in providing classroom instruction, we need
you. If you have not taken a formal "Train the Trainer"
course yet, we can arrange that opportunity.
Please contact the VP of Education for more information about teaching
chapter workshops. Your experience is worth $$, and will benefit
your fellow APICS members and the Richmond/Tri-Cities community.
